Re Kenmore

Jason yes the Kenmore works like new, I had gone out to our family cabin and saw this at home down the street that was being redone it was their 2nd home so it has seen little use in 36 years. I picked it up more as a Joke on my mom, she had the exact set when I was born and got rid of them because they where the wrong color for the new house they had built and was being featured in Better homes and gardens and green was not going to work in the laundry room off the kitchen that was one of the main feutres of the home,so Almond maytags came in 1978 " and now live at the cabin" She has Neptunes and is ok with them I was going drop this off as a joke, but she found out before I could do it. :( If I could find the dryer I might use it .

I have the Imperial console that would match this set, and somewhere around here I have an extra agitator cap...

Beautiful set! Congrats!

Fabulous! My folks had a set of WCI-64's with that combination of pulsator/detergent column. The little hard plastic cap could always be found in the box of "Fluffy All".I would not have recognized their machine with the cap on the agitator! I think many other folks also considered the cap as nothing more than a measuring cup------and many ended up lost that way too.

With the larger tub, these three-ring agitators did not tend to tangle quite like the ones with the smaller tub (pre-'62).Of course, one still had to observe the "rule" of loading the clothes by dividing the tub into "quarters". I guess with the extra room the clothes did not roll over quite as fast.

Our set lasted and lasted, finally finnishing out their days, in "commercial" service at the funeral home, sheets and towels galore!

I know you will enjoy this fantastic and rare set.
Congratulations!

My parents had a set like this in white with lighted controls, and I distinctively remember the word "Imperial" written in script on the lower corner of the lighted panel.
These sure do look like they could light up. That Imperial control panel sure would look cool on this one!
