They don't have Electrolux...
Whatever... I´m not in the USA and I followed my refigerator "birth" in the production line...
It was born august 1st 1997 exactly at 8:42pm at Electrolux Guabirotuba (Curitiba) plant, line 3 team 11 and I did the last thing to be done (attach the electrolux logo).
The same happened with my freezer, one week later.
By the way, I would never date my refrigerator... "he" is too cold...
I'm a little pressed fro time right now, but later this evening, I'll try it with the landlord provided Magic Chef. I think it's from the '80s....and I will post the results.
~I'm thinking this box is probably too old, and probably
My mother's brown box was cleaned once a week like clockwork.
She said it prevented bad smells.
When she decided to give it away, no one could really tell its age based on the condition.
It was a bottom-mount Gibson replaced with a top-mount Amana.
I had the same problem with my side by side Kitchen Aid, it is from 1990, I had to use Whirlpool, but my info came up.
Toggle Gibson...was that a bottom freezer and replaced with Amana top freezer? I have an Amana bottom freezer from 1983, replaced the compressor in 2001....I love that fridge. It has the HE emblem on it....High Efficiency. My Amana AC unit from 1989 has the same logo. Love that AC too....cold cold cold. They dont make them like that anymore.
yep bottom-mount (freezer on bottom) was replaced.
OOPSIE actually the brown Gibson became a brown Hotpoint circa 1975. (After two compressors were replaced). THEN the brown Hotpoint became a beige Amana circa 1991.
It was the brown Hotpoint that looked like-new when it was donated to a firehouse or some such place.
The beige Amana is doing well (1991 to present) after a condenser fan was replaced.
I repeat: The linked site is fairly useless! Don't bother trying. I didn't realize it wouldn't work for any refrigerator more than a couple of years old; And it seems to have a hard time recognizing brands, as well. Sorry!
