Well, we finally started laying the first couple rows of new tile in the kitchen and I have to say that I think when it's all done the kitchen is going to look pretty nifty! On the Flickr site, you can see the original asbestos tile that came with the house. Pretty interesting. Apparenlty the kitchen also had black and white floor, just in a different way.

Also, this weekend I came across an older hutch that was being sold for $50. I couldn't pass it up! It's a nice honey color wood hutch. It doesn't have the original knobs, but it does have the original hinges. Absolutely gorgeous.

Oh, if anyone wants to see my new puppy that we got, she's in there too. We found her living between the two walls that seperate our house and our neighbors house. Poor little thing, she was literally skin and bones when we got her.

Hey your really getting into this retro stuff! Love that hutch, It looks perfect in your kitchen. that floor is gona be neat too! Like your fishes. My aunt found this lefton birdie cookie jar at a yardsale and gave it to me. I later found out its a 50s original and selling on ebay for big money.

Drmitch, I love your lefton cookie jar; how adorable! You have to keep it.

Gansky1, I'm not sure how big Twinkie will get. She seems to be a possible shepard mix, so she might be a decent size, but I really don't expect her to get huge.

So far Twinkie has been a real good dog, just needs some work here and there, lol.
