Oh yes.
Launched last IFA.
It's actually quite a generational leap.
The tub has NO actual lifters - quite in line with Mieles heavy lean into laundry CARE branding.
Plus a very accurate load sensing system (tells you the load down to the kilogram after sensing) and a variable speed recirculation pump (still good old synchronous AC drain pump).
Is it good?
Meh. Any drum design with no lifters will struggle with certain loads.
Cycle times are north of 3h now.
You can only get them as TOL models.
Just google it. There are a lot of YT videos.
The T2 ("Trockner 2" - dryer 2) is actually kinda neat.
That has a different load sensing setup. The system itself is similar, the design is just adapted so the typical ticking noise of T1's should not occur anymore.
It has a variable speed compressor, motor AND an additional resistive heater.
Main goal was to match QuickIntenseWash on washers (49min for 4kg) on the dryer side and they appear to have succeeded with that.
It has wool dry feature without a drying rack now (high drum speed).
Overall a good upgrade - but it's only efficiency class B and given you can now have a dryer with separate drum and fan motors from Bosch/Siemens that is class A in all regards, I find it hard to recommend spending that kinda money over here.
