This really is a odd ball, the model number,,,as best as I can read it!..is HE440l1 or something of that nature, they stamped it in a almost unreadable place! It really is going to clean up nice though.

A friend had this range in an apartment (30") and it cooked and baked wonderfully. Always liked the styling of the knobs and elevated clock.

A range WITHOUT a oven vent????? Unless its invisible this one does not!!!There is NO WAY it could bake right!!!

The oven vent might be under a rear burner.
Also, I figure there's probably a hole in the top of the oven cavity to vent the interior. It would lead to some exit on the outside, perhaps cleverly concealed in the rear control panel.
John told me about a Sunray electric apartment range with no oven vent. When the lady baked, water condensed on the inside of the oven door and ran down onto the floor. He drilled a hole through the back of the oven liner in the place where an oven light would go and made her a vent.
Hans, are you sure that there was not a vent concealed by the broiler reflector? Theses were WP ranges, but they were built on Estate heritage so there should have been some sanity involved in the design and construction.
