Help Support :

Welcome Justin!!

You have an awesome collection! Of course, I'm partial to coffee makers, so you are a man after my own heart!!

You'll find that the Arizona contingent are some of most hospitable, kind, and fun folks around!! Will your home be on the official tour in March? ;-)

Once again a big Texas welcome to you!

Welcome Justin!

The Tucson guy's are the best! Thanks for the pic's Nate!

Justin you already have my heart with the PINK:).

With all those radios and TVs you should be able to contact Mars shortly! WOW!

Justin, you've got a great collection. All those electronic goodies remind me of Mark (Lightedcontrols) and Robert (LadyKenmore)in Roanoke, who both have huge collections of such things.

That Easy appears to be in great shape. Fun machines to play with!

Welcome to our madness!

The House Itself

Oh, wow- it's all in a vintage mobile home, too! Those things are becoming very collectible in their own right.

Anyone know what year and make? My guess on the year is 1964-1967, somewhere in there.

I don't think that's a mobile home; from what I saw when I was there last Spring, most older houses in Tucson (not in subdivisions) are like this. I also spot the vent of a roof-mounted swamp cooler as well...

Just a note

Well thank you everyone for all your coments about my house and the collection I have. I've collected the radios and tvs for about 10 years now. I have around 150 tube radios and 25 tube tvs. Unfortunealy they are all not with me at this time. I have about 100 radios and 7 tvs at my house currently. Now to answer a couple questions. Austin, I beleive you were the one who was questioning about the german looking radio. It is actually a Philips. And it sounds beautiful. Also for everyone who will be here in March. I unfortuneatly will not be able to attend. I have to go back to Minnesota, for my mom's wedding. :( I'd have more fun here. The easy spindryer as of now I do not use regulare, just because I currently do not own a dryer. I'm looking for a vintage dryer to match my decor. Once I find one, I will be using the easy all the time. I can just watch my water bill rise. LOL. Also my house is a mobile home. A 1963 Vindale. If anyone has any more questions I'd be more than happy to answer them. And thank you Ross, Roger, and Nate for all your help. Justin

Justin:

I think the MH is neat- homes of that vintage have some real character and there's more and more interest in preserving them and restoring them. Yours is especially interesting because it has its original colors and finishes in the kitchen- that's the first place remodelers usually destroy in any kind of Mid-Century housing. Congratulations- that's a very nifty thing to have. A collectible to house your collectibles!

Another one with Minnesota roots! You've got to be freaking kidding me! LOL I imagine Roger, who's been my friend for years, has told you he is from there. I am too, though I don't always like to admit it in broad daylight (grin). He lived about 45 mintues from where I did in the suburban twin cities, but his family moved away when I was about 8. People here can always detect an "accent" though, which is just *so* weird to me.

Some of the pictures gave me a feeling of a mobile home, a cool vintage one, and my hunch I see was correct! Very cool! Do you feel it vibrate when the Easy is spinning? My aunt and uncle had a mobile home and it was kind of cool when their (GE) washer would spin (LOL).

Why? Minnesotans are cool!

BTW, when you say "Minnesota", do you make it sound Swedish?

Like, "minn-ah-SOOOH-dah"?? :))

Yeah, they're cool alright, esp. right now! LOL As for me Im happy to visit friends there between May 1 and October 15. :-) I keep telling one of them maybe by so doing I'll finally get to see some of the things I never did whilst living there!

Another note

Well I'm actually from right here in Tucson. I just hapened to move to Rochester, MN when I was 5. And moved back down here about two years ago. Also my email is [email protected] for all of you who wish to contact me and ask me any questions about my collections. Justin
