that's all I can stand I cants stands no more!

No I didn't down a can of spinach.

First time this fall and early I might add, I switched on the furnace.

Temp has been up and down here all day but in the last 4 hours has been trending down. 37 to be exact and I can't put on any more stuff to stay warm so on went the furnace and up goes my gas bill.

Unless we have an Indian summer here, I'll probably have the Electrowarmth on the bed before the end of the month.

No heating here till now, actually is warmer for the seasons this year, fall is coming later...we have still many green leaves...hope it will not compromise the Porcini harvest...though I hope the heating will be turned on as later as possible...I just cannot choose when it will happen, we have centralized heatl, and as soon as it start I'll have to pay even if I don't use it...
I  actually hoped to get out of this damn apartment before winter and be alrady at the farm, but will have to spend here all the winter, apt at the farm should be ready in 2/3 minths but  I just will not start ì moving in January,/Feb with all the snow etc...so it will be later..
Even though the complex switched to a Nat gas furnace vs the gasoline we had before, costs are just the same....
I am really pissed to pay this much..rates are just unfair, I wish we had our  own furnace as most of modern apt do have now...
With the central one...they cheat on your consume and overcharge you...
We are spending lots of money here for else, beside the heating there are alot of extra expenseses now for repairs, tiles coming off, leaks, yard to re-do etc......

This evening the  huge complex's septic tank started overflowing crap all over the parking lot again, and sure we'll have to pay  the cleaning yet another time even though they came just two weeks ago ( it's not the condo's fault, the town sewer line under the road  is half collapsed and our tank outtake gets clogged be cause of it, but town hall will not pay us the damage... nor fixed it yet)
I think I'll not manage to pay for everything  in time this year...some cannot even pay at all.... lots of families in this complex are  moving out because of these unsustainable expenses and problems...
And think that the complex I live in was one of the most beautiful in town back in the 80s....now is all to re-do.....I'd pay less if I were in a new one...
I am looking forward to move to the farm and sell this damn apt, at the farm I'll have my beautiful wood stove providing the heat I need....
My father has a wood stove, and a pellet one... though I dislike pellet stoves...

Ben,

My wife and I were just talking about putting our electric mattress pad on as well.  We currently have our thermostat set at 63 degrees, and it is just enough to take the edge off.

No heat here, house is holding in the low 60s and that is fine with me.  Have had the heated mattress pad on the bed for several weeks now, set to medium, just enough to make a comfy bed.

I'm hoping to make it to Nov. with no heat, got close last year.
