Hey Ho!

I finally got the machine work!
I ran the spin cycle 3 times problemless and the machine is performing much better.
I think the new brushes hat do get used to the machine ;-)
Well, the machine is doing a 60° wash with towels...pictures will follow!

BTW: I saved up laundry for 2 weeks, so there is a lot of work for the Miele! LOL

Ich kenne wohl die Schwierigkeiten mit deutschen Verwandten....ich glaubte immer, dass meine deutsch-amerikanische Familie ganz toll/crazy war. Aber nach meiner ersten Besuch nach Deutschland, lernte ich, dass meine Familie NORMAL ist....jedenfalls, normal fuer Deutschland! Sie machen den "D" in DICKKOPFISCH!!! (like saying they put the "S" in STUBBORN). Obwohl meine Ururgrosseltern haben vor 150 Jahren nach Amerika immigriert, sind sie noch so dochkopfisch wie die deutschen.

Congratulations, how wonderful your Miele is working properly now! I wish I could hear the sounds of the clicking timer, Novotronics don't have that. That's the only disadvantage of my machine. I hope you have lots of fun with it.

If it put two F's in it, then it would be Dickkopffisch. Oops, proper spelling must be dickkopfig. Hell, at least I put the verbs at the end where they belong. I am using a laptop from Sweden which gives me ö and ä but no u-umlaut and no eszet. Scheisse!

But it's true....my relatives here are not crazy. They are normal....for Germany. And while the Dutch are known for their love of complaining, Germans are known for being STUBBORN. Like Lavamat's parents. There are only two ways to do something: their way, or THE WRONG WAY.

I wouldn´t say that my parents are "dickköpfig", but they think that such an old washer uses way too much water and we wouldn´t need a second washer.
But I don´t have the time to do all the laundry on the weekend with only one washing machine.

thanks for the congratulations.
Today I noticed that the Miele still does NOT tumble properly, but it´s much better than on the first load I did with it.
I could figure out that the "leistungselektronik" does not work properly. Flushing the dispenser, tumbling and heating is too much for the electronic.
But as soon as the there is enough water in the machine it works perfect!

gute Idee

I think it's a great idea to have two machines. Even more so in Europe, where the machine capacities are lower. I know a few people in USA who have two pairs...these are people with four children whose time to wash clothes is limited. One family I know has two Frigidaire 2940 washers with dryers stacked on top of each washer.

Leider haben wir kein Persil hier in Amerika. Ach, was wissen die Amis von Saubermachen?
