I went to Marion Virginia in the fog and rain today and brought home a TOL 30 inch GE from 62 or 63, One of the rare ones with the high back and big buttons, dirty but looks in great shape, this is the GE I have always liked but never found, I will try to post some pictures soon, the yard is so wet I didn't even try to get it in the house, its in the storage building until it dries up a little..The guy I bought it from said everything on it worked, maybe just once I will be lucky enough to have a Sensi Temp that works, its all there and unmolested....If it does I will have to  hunt the griddle,I have read that the only difference in the 62 and 63 was the color of the backsplash, this one is black, I understand a grey one was also made,I bet the backsplash is nearly a foot high, when I get it cleaned up it should be really sharp.

Hans, as an upgraded member you have the ability to edit your post, including the title, I believe for up to six hours.

Very simple Hans. Bring up the thread. Go to the top of the thread. On right in the header bar you'll see "edit". Click on it and your post will come up in the box like you originally had when you created it. Change the spelling error in the title. Go down and click "post". All fixed. At this point you have until 12:00 midnight to fix.

That was a grand range. I have the spec sheets for the 40 inch version. My best friend and I sent a letter to GE asking for literature on their ranges and had it mailed to his house so that I would not get in trouble with my parents. I still have that envelope of stuff 53 years later.

I have to work

This weekend, "Starting tonight at midnight", so Monday I will get started on it and post some pictures, its a fairly unusual GE, Ive never seen but a few of them, the fluorescent light is rescessed under the control panel, the pushbuttons are grouped together in the center of the control panel, the clock on the right, oven controls and Sensi Temp controls  on the left.I think it was the TOL model in 62 and 63.
