In the new kitchen, we have been eating out since we started moving, so the other night I decided to cook, nothing fancy, meatloaf, green beans ,apples and mashed potatoes, alomg with biscuits and a rhubarb crumb crust pie.

Real nice

That kitchen and stove look like new, and it is great to see you use that stove like it was meant to be used. Save me some leftovers!

Nothing fancy?? Sounds like a great feast to me! Congrats on the beautiful new kitchen...hope you guys have years of wonderful meals in your new home! The Norge looks right "at home" in its new place.

Kitchen looks great and that Norge is wonderful. I imagine whenever anyone walks in and see's it for the first time it's a conversation piece. ..  Did you make the curtains or buy them.. It's near impossible now to even find real pinch pleat curtains/drapes.

My aunt, who keeps up with such things, says that pinch pleats are the new thing for fashionable homes, though she was a bit disgusted by it. She also says that brown is going to be the next big appliance color. Let's wait and see.

It looks perfect in your kitchen, does look brand new and the quarter-round table next to it is neat.
...like your drape pattern and the wire wall sculpture, too.

The kitchen is beautiful.. The looks mighty good too.  For pinch pleat drapes and such try "Shopzillacom".  I do not have any of them, I did get some for Mom's Picture window  a few years back. She thought it was a lost cause. I was starting to think she was right. Again beautiful job on the kitchen. Norgeway your place is quickly becoming a "home".  I wish you the best in your new place.  Arthur

Hans, contrary to much of what I've stated here in the past about Norge, you know I'm in love with that stove!

Your kitchen is just gleaming.  I would love to check it out in person . . . along with your bedroom ceiling.

Congratulations on reaching the cooking in the new home stag

I agree with Kevin--What a feast!

Back in the late 60s, I met friends who sewed everything and they showed me these special buckram types for the top of the draperies that had the pockets for cartridge pleats. There were special pins for the pockets. They were always running up something on their machines. I watched them and figured I could run up a bill in the emergency room trying to use a sewing machine.

Norgeway, I too had to give up a base cabinet to get a dishwasher.  I think you plan to stay there along while after all the work.  Few households will even look at a house without a built in dishwasher. My lady friends tell me those manicures are expensive. :-)

Everything looks so nice!
I am sure that you are glad the move is over.
I love your kitchen!

size can be important

Hans, it looks like you could give Chef Kevin some stiff competition preparing gourmet food but you have an unfair advantage...yours is bigger. (I meant the electric range)
