Help Support :

thanks paula!!!

and yeah, i was just like you when i first got on here. and i'm STILL learning!!
hm hm hm......

the main thing you need to start out with when learning the model numbers is what features you are interested;
2-speed (normal & gentle) or fabricmatic (1-speed)
and large capacity or standard capacity

and from there you can more-or-less figure out the different model numbers (kinda).
LOL.....

thank you again paula

:o)

Oops!

Didn't see this thread several days ago when it undoubtedly popped up after my reply. Just yesterday I was wondering where this thread went!

Anyway - "STPP" is "Sodium Tri-poly Phosphate," in other words, the phosphates that were removed from detergents some years ago. I think the buildup would be a mixture of hard water, and washing soda - which creates limestone precipitate in washers when used in hard-water areas.

You should be able to order some from 'TheChemistryStore.'

However, if you have reasonable soft water or even have the most rudimentary sense of doing laundry (Sorting, and washing in the appropriate temperature), this shouldn't be necessary.

Congradulations

Congratulations on your find... you always seem to post such great comments for others on this site along with encouragement as they work on their finds. Very nice to see you found what you wanted, and that it is in such good condition....Best of luck, this washer could not have found a better owner !!!!!
