Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Looks like an interesting find Chris. Sorry about the "pool"! You are going to be busy on this dryer for a while. Terry

Mouse poo can contain potentially-fatal hanta virus, which you can catch by inhaling mouse poo dust.

What to do about it: Get a spray-bottle and fill with a mixture of detergent and water, and spray the mouse poo thoroughly to prevent dust; then wipe it up with paper towels and toss them in the trash.

If you've already vacuumed up the stuff and not gotten sick within a few days, then probably your mouse poo was merely icky rather than dangerous.

Anyway... good find; will be interesting to see what you do with this one to get it fully resurrected.

Chris, are you going to take the cabinet apart and have it painted like you've done with other machines?

If so, I have questions, so email me please!

got started

this one did run at the house i got it at, buts its dirty as heck..will start taking it apart on monday eve. the body seem pretty good just a few chips to touch up after a good scrub down, nasty old poo...i have a 54 frig dryer that i love. it was in the same shape as this one when i got that one. and i cant get over how quiet they are when they run. give us a week or so and well be like new again.

you would like one

they sort of steam dry the items. makes the towels sort of soft and fluffy. its really kinda cool. but they do get hot

time to start

top off..front off..sides off.. motor out..all washed.. mouse poo gone..lint gone..nasty rotten fiberglass gone..and resting in the garage drying out..tomorrow well start putting her back together again..yeah...but still not as cool as gregs!!!

You are so right Chris, nothing like towels fresh out of the Flitrator. Puts such a nice scent into the room as well while it's running. Terry

thanks guys

well i have the sides and front back on. redid the insulation so that nasty part is all done..the rollers and back brg are in good shape so that part is ok..work on the top tomorrow..this one is just the same as the 54 filtrator i did a few years back, but the 54 was just dirty and had bad wiring. this 55 has bad wires along with some surface rust on the bottom..guess damp basement and mouse pee..icky

Oh Chris, the your machine will be so nice once done. The mouse peee and pooops did not cause anything. You are a hoot. Thanks for the humor. Glad it is coming along.

Steve

tight fit

i wonder how the got those thing together when the were building them in the factory? with new insulation they are so tight. you have to squeeze them toether ha ha..fix a few wires and get the back on then clena out the filter and well be ready to play..
