I don't think it was a one-off

as much as it might have been a limited production run. However, I am not certain, and please don't quote me on it.

Sundberg did a lovely Whirlpool Imperial set around 1955.

Very cool and unusual! Wished they would have taken shots with the doors wide open. Price seems a bit on the high side.

Definitely not a 50's fridge, lol.

Speaking of unusual...

On the Wichita craigslist a month back, there was a Philco Super Marketer on there for real cheap. But it sold quick. It appeared in decent shape. Needed cleaned up, but I'm thinking a metal scrapper got their grubby hands on it. I've never seen one in person and vintage appliances like that are ultra-rare in these parts.

Definately a Sears Coldspot from the 60's. My Ex's folks had one, and the father in law was pissed when it finally gave out.
He said it was the best fridge he had ever owned. If it had been a 50's, it would have probably been white, aquq. yellow, possibly coppertone, or grey.
Oh Well, So much for my two cents.

I seem to remember...

That one of the lower 'freezer' compartments was actually able to be either refer or freezer by setting the controls. This is a HEAVY sob! Having moved a few in my time, it's definately a multiple person affair...
