It was 96° and mostly sunny today. Not very humid, plus there's been a strong south breeze with this wave of heat so it's keeping the pollution at bay. I was out on the porch a good part of the afternoon with the ceiling fans going and was fine. It's currently 86° at nearly 9 PM as I type this on the back porch. It was above 90° from 11 AM til about 8 PM today.
When I had to leave around 3 for an appt, ( the temperature peaked around 2:30 and held that til 6:30) my car collectively took about a half hour of driving to get it down to temperatures I would consider comfortable for driving (I err on the cold side with the A/C). The radiator fans kicked on full blast which only happens when it's been baking in the sun (above 85 outside) or in general is above 94 outside. (They are 3 speed on my Nissan)
I also did something I found interesting and plugged my kill a watt into the wall to see what the voltage was with both A/C's going, plus the pool pump, and all the neighbors on the same transformer with their A/C running, it dropped to 119 volts. I normally see about 123-124 volts.
