I found this on youtube thought it was quite interesting, I like the tune it plays.

Someone around here has one. A friend was telling me about it... I was wondering how it played... very cool.

That is when it plays. It may also if you open the door and stop it during the cycle for some reason.

I can't even hear the end of cycle alarm on my Frigidaires, bet I would be able to hear it on the Westy.

the next door neighbors had this one when I was a kid, we used to turn the dial and make it play until their Mom would tell us to knock it off. They had the matching washer as well.

the matching washer.....

was an LB-6...the washer that matched the D6 dryer was supposed to be the LB6-M, I think!
I love all the Westinghouses from the 50's !!
Does yours have the reset on the heater ?

Westy's I would love to find...

An LS-7 washer, a LS-8 washer, & an L-104...actually, the L104 looks like the mate to the D5-I am not sure what washer truly matches that one- My first guess was the LB6- Is there a serial # key to the manufacture dates to these old ones? I would also like to find a D5-A- that one is the 115 volt version...
