Westinghouse range

Is one of the really neat models with the 'floating dash'... fluorescent lights behind the control panel in the scalloped recess of the dash, both above and below the control panel, gives you a 'floating' control panel, especially cool with the lights on! Plus the colored cooktop indicator lights. A very nice range!

I just wish that they had made their ovens a little taller. The space in the storage drawer was nice, but the oven space could have been put to good use, too. Frigidaire had huge ovens compared to WH.

For those who really want the largest size, Westinghouse made that huge single full size 40" oven!!!

I used that oven. John and I found it on a trip to Atlanta, but the fly in that ointment is that the oven is very shallow. It is wide enough to get two Bundt pans on a rack, but it is too shallow to place a third pan either a little in front or a little behind the two and the oven is too short to be able to put two cakes on the other rack, unlike the tall master ovens in Frigidaires in which it was possible to bake in 4 Bundt pans at the same time, two on each rack.
