I saw this Westinghouse Electric Range last month in a thrift store about an hour away, the thing looked spotless, and the oven was clean as can be as well.
Know this is a true Westinghouse (before the selloff) because it was made in Mansfield, Ohio....but cannot for the life of me figure out how old exactly it is.
Pondering going back to pick it up since it was there last week in the same spot when I went in. I have a Yellow Westinghouse Fridge from 1961 that came from my grandparents....single door, freezer inside on top....never has had any issues. Came with their house when they bought it back in '61, and I rescued it from the basement where it had been for about 25 years.
So, does anyone know anything about Westinghouse Electric Stoves? Open to any info you may have, for one thing I know its pretty rare, but beyond that i'm stumped.
Thinking of storing it for a cabin I am contemplating building.....figured i'd build the cabinets myself and use all vintage appliances.
I know zilch about what to look for on this, any advice would be much appreciated. I don't want to spent the time and money to drag it home if its a piece of junk, but as I said it was so clean!!
