Yep, John Sebastian, while he was still with the "Lovin' Spoonfull". Maybe it was really the "Lovin' Scoopfull". ;-)

"Summer in the City" is one of the greatest songs of that decade.

But Sebastian didn't age well. I remember seeing him on TV in the 90's... he must have been too drunk or stoned to be coherent.
