Now that's what I call coooooooool!
I love it; especially the part about the "dainty ice cubes". I suppose they used to just chip away at the big block for ice. I can't imagine that they could have actually frozen little cubes for their beverages.
When you think about it, this was really a convenience as opposed to having the "iceman" deliver the block, wait a certain amount of time before it melted, cleaned up (or drank?) the water, and started all over again with a new block of ice. Am I glad to be living with moderan appliances!!!
Frigidaire really was a pioneer in refrigeration.
