hello to all aw members here is a trip down mememory lane I think one of these pics are from a woolco store ad and the other from a kmart store so feel free to enjoy this trip down memory lane
what are the brands of vintage washer dryers shown in these pics?

I would say in picture;
1. Whirlpools (upfront & center)
G.E. Filter Flo (upper back left?)
2. FRIGIDAIRE by Genteral Motors

I spotted some additional items in Pic 2. Behind the washers is a portable/convertible Whirlpool dishwasher. To it's left is another portable dishwasher. I'm pretty sure it's a Whirlpool too, a toploader (but i'm not 100% positive).
Additionally, I think the washer & dryer on the end cap (center left of pic) is a late model Blackstone set? Hard to tell, but the tall cabinet with a chrome door handle on the dryer is reminiscent of their design. Can someone with a better eye confirm this?

Found this on Pinterest - a shot of the appliance department of the K-mart in San Jose, Calif (1970). I can't remember the K-mart in my neighborhood selling large appliances. But perhaps I was too interested in the toy department back then! (K-mart was my favorite place for toy shopping.)

The only reason I could identify the washers that I did was thanks to this great group of members!
Never did I think I would be able to recognize a washer by brand, except for maybe a center-dial MAYTAG. And I must say, I'm getting pretty damned good at telling the difference between the model numbers too! But only the (I believe they're called?) 2nd generation center-dial Maytags from 1966-1980.

The set at the center left of the picture on the end display appear to be BOL whirlpools with the controls in the box design.

I love the Whirlpools in the first picture with the big timer dials. These machines were so much better than the machines Whirlpool makes today.
