Since you are supposed to giv up something as a sacrifice
I once gave up coffee. I lasted til about 11: that evening before the headache got the best of me and I had to have the caffine. I then decided it was best to not kill everyone in my office for breathing so I switched to something else that year.
I don't know if it's just me, but the older I get the harder it is to let go of something. Such as chocolate was my target for this year here it is 1:52 P.M. on Thursday and I'm digging through my drawer with the justification that if I found something I would only be keeping it from going to waste. Since I didn't find anything, now I have to devise some justification for saving that poor lost Snickers bar from the candy machine.
I don't want to replace one addiction with another, but I was considering just watching porn--what do you think?
