awesome

What color is that Kitchen-aid?

I thought it was pink, but, in the photo the Frigidaire looks pink and the Kitchen-aid looks sorta salmon colored.

It's very cool, whatever color it is.

WHAT FUN.. I LOVE IT AM GONNA HAVE TO ROLL OUT THE WESTY TONIGHT AND HAVE SOME FUN TOO... HA HA... AWESOME MACHINES YOU HAVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robert just think about the "fab" dinner party you can have with no worry of not having enough dishwasher space! What fun!

very cool

This might be a dumb question, but is the Kitchenaid permanantly portable? Or could you remove the cabinet and build it in?
With three dishwashers you are set for one heck of a smart dinner party!

What color is that Kitchen-aid?
It's sort of a tan/pink salmon pink mixture, different than the pure 50's pink of the Frigidaire. The color is very odd and does not photograph well, it comes out different in every picture I take.

Bob, it's some shad of coppertone theme
Well SLAP, not in my Kitchen mister! hmmmmph :)

(and scare poor Gladys out of her mind!)
Washers and dishwashers don't bother her, even with the big slams of powerful solenoids, 'cause there might be a morsel of food somewhere on the floor for her to find.

but is the Kitchenaid permanantly portable?
Hi Jeff, for now it's a portable, I could build a counter at the end of the kitchen where it is in picture 2, but its sort of fun to roll it up to the sink.

Hello, Roberto

How do you like the wringer washer version of dishwashers---Isn't it a ball !

Wheeling it up, sliding the hoses up from their little house, the clean crisp snap of the coupler, plugging in the cord, listening to the unmistakeable squish/rush of the draining water, the wonderful steam, the grand smells you can create depending on your soaps. Then later, uncoupling, sliding the hoses back, unplugging, and wheelback. ALL DONE. It's wringer dishwasher heaven.

wow~ Robert!!

I Love that Kitchen Aid! What model year is it?

Also, what's this I see in your kitchen, a modern *DRIP* coffee maker??? SLAP! =)

Congratulations Robert.

The only thing better than hooking the dishwasher to the kitchen faucet is to have an additional faucet for the portable dishwasher so that the other faucet is available for other tasks like cleaning counters, stove, etc. or for connecting a second portable.

Jeff, KitchenAid made convertible portables early on and that is what this is. I think the model number would be KDI 54 instead of 14 to designate it as a convertible portable. Dishwasher-sink combinations used a 6, I think, such as 64 for the 14 series. KitchenAid had front loading convertible portables before they had a top loading portable, beginning with the 12 series. Robert, I never seen a portable version of that Kitchen Aid model....does it have a separate pump for drain? (In, fact when I was 5, my aunt and uncle had a model like this. I would sit and watch it operate...such a wonderful machine with lots of thrust of water spraying the dishes.....) This is the model that has the cast iron spray arm and gravity drain...I have been trying for years to find a model like this to restore...
