Hey Guys.

So. I've been thinking. Most people in the everyday society use one type of detergent. Unlike the educated...us guys lol.

I've been inspecting (as opposed to snooping lol) around my mother & mother in laws clothes piles which are waiting to be ironed and inspecting them for fading etc.

I was quite surprised. While my mum uses Persil non bio & my mother in law uses Daz on everything. Fading was minimal. The reason for my snoopin is this. I have a huge huge collection of detergent that i'm slowly windling down. I have 2 children so it won't take me too long lol Much of my collection at the moment is alot of Bio detergent. So i'm considering blitzing everything with it.

My question. Does anyone here use Bio detergents on colours without too much fading?

I have a zillion liquids to use to which I will probably use on my darkest stuff.

Any comments would be welcome!

The main thing I notice about using bio detergents on colours is fading around the seams especially on jeans and hoodies. I always pretty much use seperate colour and white detergents more to protect colours as soon as possible, especially on more expensive clothes. However if it's just a rough load of old t shirts, pj's, joggers, underwear etc then I don't really bother with colour stuff.

My sister uses non bio on everything, and all her stuff looks pretty much washed out compared to my washing and mum's washing.

More or less, at the end of the day the difference is there, but it all depends on how long you wash darks in bio (the odd wash or 3 wouldn't make too much difference), and how much you care for the clothes in the load. What I will say is that when I was livign in London there was a couple of times when I was on a cheap fix for while having little money and had to use biological on everything, and a couple pairs of jeans and a few t shirts did fade considerably.

I'd say go for it, but be careful when it comes to your more treasured stuff.
