Yes, they are Kelvinators. 1955 to be exact (not cleaned up or put together yet). I bought these from just the nicest people. They are only the second owners. They still have the house's original Kelvinator range (still in use) and the refrigerator.

They're white! Those are just beautiful - I hope they're easy to get going again. The mechanism is pretty simple so I'm sure you'll have no trouble anyway. They are such fun machines and the vintage look combined with the view-all windows makes them too charming for words.

What beautiful machines! America in the 50' and 60's were just the best at innovation and design. I like that it was a little over the top, like these ones. So cool and so progressive a sign of the times in those days.

What gorgeous machines! I guess these are the machines responsible for the transition from early 50's automatic washer cabinet design to what would become the classic design. You can actually see the genesis of the backspash(or "backsplasher" as GE first referred to them) on these beauties. Starts as a sort of afterthought shield, although they've moved indicator lights onto it, while the main controls remain on the cabinet.

In 1962, my parents bought me a Lionel set from Macy's for Christmas. It was one of many presents that my Father, out of the goodness of his heart, really bought more for himself than for me, because I was all over H-O racecars at that point with no interest whatsoever in trains, unfortunately for both of us. He tried assembling the thing for me but I remember there was some problem with it, something was defective but I can't remember what. He said he was going to take in back to Macy's but, of course, never did as my Father hated wasting his time either haggling or bothering with returns, even if it cost him money. It was packed away into a box and has remained there since. It was one of the only valuable collectible things that weren't thrown away during one of his "I have to simplify my life, so I'll throw out everybody else's junk" phases. I think now I will unpack it and display it the way you have. Those trains look glorious.
