I was in Biddeford 2 weeks ago but the new Market Basket had not opened yet. It is supposed to be the largest supermarket in size in Maine. Hopefully they will open more. I read that their grand opening was a huge success.

Would love to hear about your trip: what cities you visited, funny things that happened, arrive and depart dates, what you liked the best or were most impressed by, etc.

In the first two pix, I see a tall jar of white creamy stuff just to the right of the hot sauce. Is that our "Horsey Cream," a combination of mayonnaise and horseradish? I really like that product on roast beef sandwiches; the best version is made by Boar's head.

You are right, nothing like horsey sauce on prime rib. We make our own using sour cream and horseradish.

There is a chain of surplus stores in the state and there is one in Biddeford and 2 dozen more in Maine called Marden's. You never know what their buyers found and you get a good deal.
