I do not know where I would start with mine there is a lot of machines that have served me well since I was very little.
Here is what I think

Washing results : my Bosch

Rinsing: hotpoint aqualtis AQGD169S

Overall quality the Bosch

Zanussi WJD1665w washer dryer for me. Great at washing, rinsing and drying and had the famous spin rinses. And was quiet too.

Hoover Nextra hands down...

Although I retired my Hoover Nextra just a few weeks ago... it's been the best washer I've used in my life thanks to its savoir-faire in all possible laundry situations, its reliability and long lasting despite the exasperate use over the last 11 years (in fact it's still entirely original and doesn't know the meaning of the word engineer). I carried out all possible and impossible tests on it... by creating extreme conditions by overloading, underloading, awkward loads, using detergent hyper-doses (I even used high sudsing twin-tub detergent in it and it managed to clear it all up with no mess and no fuss, yet delivering fab washing and rinsing results), and it he always came up smelling of roses!

I'm OK with newer Hoovers but I'm not as impressed. I tried a few other front load washers, old and new, at home and elsewhere, and I found they aren't nearly as able as the the Hoover Nextra that seem to have a tendency of to tick all boxes everytime... first time :)

Best performing washer I've used would hands down be a classic belt drive Maytag top loader.

Though, our early 2000s direct drive Whirlpool has been an admirable performer with absolutely no problems and service calls. (No problems except how damn easy it is to throw the thing off balance with a load the Maytag can handle without batting an eye!)

Hoover

Hoover Keymatics 3203, 3062, 3243 and my present 34 year old Hoover A3190 Electron 1100 none of the modern machines I have owned can better any of them for wash/rinse performance reliability, build quality and over all "feel good factor"

1994 Maytag Dependable Care Plus

My 1994 Maytag Dependable Care Plus was my best and favorite! I loved the white porcelain tub, it worked very well, quiet, and I liked the orbital transmission. I also thought the console was very attractive. I had to move temporarily and everything was put into storage, and when the washer returned, there was a big gash and dent in the front panel which made me suspect that it might have been dropped. Perhaps if not for that, it would be running today.

My new front loader

The WFW72HEDW, since we bought it, its gotten everything clean that we threw at it even our king size comforter. Cleaning is a day and night difference when compared to our old inglis direct drive which we had before our new front loader. Don't get me wrong, while we had the inglis, I thought it was the best cleaner and front loaders were nothing. After it died 14 years later, we moved on to a front loader to give it a try. Now, I want no other washer then a front loader only. Towels come out whiter WITHOUT bleach and the smell of the fabric softener stays as well. When this washer goes, i'll be sure to buy another front loader.

The brand for the wfw72hedw is Whirlpool. We stuck to it consdering our old washer was also made by Whirlpool and we have more experience with that brand than other ones.
