I was looking at pictures of the original Wichita High School, built in 1910, before it was converted to apartments. This interesting combo unit was in the teacher lounge!

Have you seen anything like this before?

Yes, it's called a unit kitchen. They usually had a small refrigerator under the cooktop, but they could be specified with an oven there. Residence hotels sometimes had these in the rooms. They could be purchased with two gas burners as well as the electric shown here. Friends had one of these without the top cabinet and not in pink in their guest apartment. The front surface unit was 900 watts and the rear one 500, both with infinite switches.

Neat!

Thank you for sharing! They are really neat actually. They would be ideal for a guest house or now an Airbnb.

That larger unit in Coppertone and stainless is really nice looking!!! Much better than pink and wood-grain.
