What kind of oven could this be?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

I'd like to know, too

It looks very practical - but then again, one look a that stove and I want to run.
Those solid burners were the bane of my life here in Germany until I got my first ceramic stovetop. Slow as hell to heat up, took forever to cool down, burned everything and impossible to clean.
But the styling on that oven is older, so maybe there's hope.

Frigidaire

Our family moved into a cookie-cutter development in 1959. All had Frigidaire electric stoves and wall ovens. You could choose full-door or that french-door oven in pink, turquoise, yellow or charcoal - I don't recall anyone having white! It seems to have more controls shown than I remember. My OL's had just one knob.

I think by 58, the built-ins all resembled the Sheer-Look cooking appliances - squared corners, glass control panels, knobs, etc. Gary's may be a bit older, like 55-56? What year was the house built?

Do you want this for your house, Gary? The only disadvantage I see to this is you must be very cautious when pulling out pans with lots of juices in the bottom that could slosh out onto your new dress and hose. Nothing ruins a dinner party like third degree burns through nylon hose!

Oh my stars and whiskers!

Yes and a Brazilian wax may be OK if you are expecting it, but on-the-spot spontaneity like that can freak a girl out!

Can you just picture the hostess running through the house screaming while getting nekked..."My kitty is on fire!", meanwhile Fluffy is right in some corner sittng quietly, all curled-up.

FRIGIDAIRE Radiantube cooktop

If you look closely at the photo provided, you'll see it's matching cooktop to the right of the oven. Its Radiantube elements are a dead give away.
