I know a few years ago, Argos were selling HEC machines. Have never heard of these and I would like to know who make/made them. You can still buy them from Argos but they are now branded as Haus.

Here's a HEC from a house down our street. It is plumbed in opposite a White Knight Compact Dryer.

What the hec? Great title mate! Them washers and dryers are made by Crosslee who own whight knight. Its distinguishable feature is the knob wich is late 90's pure to WK.
 
Ah, my boyfriend has the same as that HEC washer but branded HAUS (pics below). It's not a poorly performing machine, by any standards. It's not too loud either and has nice deep water levels. HOWEVER, it does have it's flaws. For starters, the cottons 40 cycle FOUR HOURS and does FIVE rinses (the conditioner rinse being 2nd, oddly). There is a nice, variable temp quick wash which takes about 45 mins and has a really nice wash action, but it only does 1 rinse which annoys me. My other annoyance is the detergent dispenser. It's FAR too small and near impossible to remove for cleaning.

small dispenser, as mentioned above. This is as far as it opens. And before anyone says anything, I know it needs a clean. But it's mine to clean and I'm certainly not doing it for him lol

The whirlpool one takes 3hrs but add on 20 mins for prewash

That would drive me absolutely right round the sodding twist. The longest mine takes is 2hrs10mins on a full 6kg boil wash, and even then it cuts the cycle time down according to the load. 3 hours is just unnecessary and a waste of energy.
 
^I'm not a fan of Indesit/Hotpoint tbh. The slow tumbles, whiney motors and notorious bearing trouble completely puts me off. I'd sooner own a Beko thank anything Indesit are producing. Bosch/Siemens are an option, though. All depends on money available :)

4 HOURS for a cottons 40 wash? I'm glad I generally avoid these type of machines, they look poorly designed and generally look cheap in any kitchen, would go for Beko or Indesit anyday if I was forced to buy a washing machine of that price range.

Here is Haus machine performing one of ridiculous things... Synthtetics cycle, 1000rpm spin, and it is on 1000 for 5-6 minutes!!

HotpointFan, I know you are new here, dont mis-understand this, but you are here since yesterday, and you've managed to make 14threads!! Sorry, but that is too much, I suppose you've stopped copying pictures that were already there (after that reply), but really, and most of them dont even have that much point (if you dont see youre getting replys usually by 1-2 same guys)... I really dont want to hurt anyone, but slow it down! Check out how other threads are working, and try to fit in ;)
