What The Heck Are These? Detergent Bars?

From the Philippines and an online website called gainbest.com.

Are these really 'bars' of detergent? If so, how would you use them? Are they meant for hand washing/scrubbing instead of machine washing?

Sort of. It looks like it's for hand-washing. I'm glad my washer says that it's an Automatic Washer.

big bars for big hand jobs...

In the Philippines, there are washing machines, but many more people still do their wash by hand...the bars are not far removed from the P & G bars our grandmothers and great-grandmothers used on a washboard.

Tide and Mr. Clean are recognizable P & G brands, but I believe Perla is also a P & G regional brand...

Interesting that Unilever still makes a Breeze detergent bar for the Philippines, but Breeze hasn't been sold stateside since the 1970s...
