Not entirely sure, but I am guessing both were ones I encountered in 2009 in a couple of places I lived. One was a late 1960s Kenmore 500. I posted a thread about that. One photo from that thread I post here. The link is for the full thread, which includes some closer up photos.

Summer, 2009, I was moved again. That place had an old GE dryer. It was fun, since I'd never to that point used anything but WP/Kenmore dryers, but it didn't seem to heat properly--it took forever to dry anything. Fortunately, at that time, I was mostly drying on wood racks.

Again, there is a photo, plus a link to the thread I created which has closeups.

Sad to say, but I know both dryers were scrapped by the property owner. At that point, the Kenmore was broken, and, as mentioned, the GE was marginal.

The Kenmore would have been about 40 years old at the time. No idea about the age of the GE.

My Aunt's Clothesline Circa 1964

Not much to look at but it still dries just as good as the day she got it. It's quiet. And never required a service call.

You forgot how cheap it is to use, and the built in Fresh Air Scent system!
