After two weeks of summer heat in the Northeast
We're back to fall, the heat's on and the warshers are blazin'.
Since it's Cher's bday, and cold out, I thought it would be cool to listen to music and see what everyone else is washing.

Me; sheets in the Haier Portable--The Veggie protocol: Coldwater Tide and
Clorox. First time, this better work, Veg ! (Maggie to Gigs warning frown from "Bringing up Father" Cartoon, frying pan at the ready.

Rags in the Norge Wringer waiting for the hot shower above from the Dishwasher drainings.

Light coloreds in the Easy Spin

Bathmats and Old Spare Terry Robe in the Hoover waiting for the Automatic Power rinse

King Comforter in the Whirlpool DD

Shirts in the Whirlpool BD: Knits Cycle--lid up: continuous run; no spin; plus cooldown. What a cycle!

Again I pledge pics and flicks by the 4th of July.

So what are you Washing-for-Cher and will there be any Sonny jokes.

aloha !

Sorry --my bad--the best thing for me is the machine, Dude!

what kind o' warsher are ya usin' ?

thanks

Hi mickeyd--

I'm warshin' a Bob Load of white bath towels in my '03 Frigidaire front-loader using liquid Tide Cold Water and a touch o' Downy to knock down suds in the final rinse.

Next up: Uber-stained kitchen whites featuring powdered Tide CW and the obligatory touch o' Downy.

Since powdered Tide CW is becoming a scare commodity here in rural Minnesota, I've taken to using it only on stained loads. For everything else I use the liquid version, which isn't as good as its powdered counterpart, but is univerally available. In fact, I've taken to hoarding the powdered version, just in case it falls off the map completely.

We got cartloads o' yer pictured stuff here in the nor'east. Great pic.

So with possible apologies: Is that coldwater Tide protocol yours?...the claim that it plus Clorox gives the cleanest scheen you've ever seen or is it Vegomatic's. I really can't remember, but one of you swears by it--who knows maybe both morphed in my tiny mind.

Don't you wish Robert could wire the site we could hear Cher all day while we warshed and wrote?!

In the words of Miss Mickelson, my 7th grade English teacher, "Proofread, proofread, proofread!" Make those words 'scarce' and 'universally' in the above post.

Oh, and FYI, the two boxes on the right are the newest purchases; apparantly they thought showing icicles on the front of the box was going a little too far...

My box has icicles hahahahah, but it's old; mayhaps they melt them off for the summer version, and refreeze for the winter. We'll have to watch in November .

I'm the guy who swears by Tide CW and Clorox for stained whites---and maybe Veg does, too; I don't recall.

I don't have a Cher solo album, but I do have Sonny & Cher's Greatest Hits buried in my collection somewhere. I'll have to dust it off in honor of the girl's b-day.

Happy Warshin, everybody!

I'm washing 4 loads today, which is about one weeks' worth for me!

Dark jeans/cargos--Dispensall
Towels--Dispensall
"Soft" dark clothes--1-18
Sheets--1-18

I tend to alternate machines every week; next week I'll be using the AMP, Frankenmore, and WO-65-2.

Frankenmore

You better let Frankenmore have some fun too. I couldn't see washing in other machines and not letting Frankenmore do at least one a week. And that would be the Wash-n-Wear cycle.

I'd love to see that Dispensall and the AMP in action. Maybe one day I'll make it to Texas again.

somebody always cares

i'd love to see a a Dispensall too, Love my shredder, though I never call it that because it's so good to me. Still listening to Cher?

I like DD Kenmores but not really. I rather a vintage machine, a well-made belt drive machine, or Kenmore Oasis (which is mostly a F&P designed machine)

Into the Miele 1918 today went:
Whites - Cotton 140 cycle, 1200 rpm final spin, with Persil original bio tablets and green Snuggle.
Darks - Cotton 105 cycle, 1200 rpm fianl spin, with Persil Colour Guard tabs and green Snuggle.
Light colors - Cotton 105 cycle with 800 rpm last spin, dosed the same as darks.

I suppose I could do sheets next, but the cats are all sleeping on the bed...

Im depressed

You guys/gals are making me depressed because I have NOTHING to wash!!! Maybe I'll go ask my neighbors if they have anything to wash. Maybe I'll put up a sign "free wash" payment terms discussed inside.Ha,ha.. I guess I'll take some prozac and give it a jump start with some beer. SCREW YOU, Tom Cruze!!!!!....Bill in Az....

Insulindude

When depressed and there's no laundry, I just fire them up without any clothes. They're amazing when you run them on empty--just use the lowest water level and see the incredible virginal currents. If too wasteful, throw in this morning's towel, facecloth, or dishtowel --there's always something--for even more fun. Or just take your socks off! Hey Man, it's wild!!
