When did Maytag start to go bad?

It sounds like somebody isn't being truthful when they say that Maytag acts as a separate company that's independent even when owned by Whirlpool. I knew somebody was lying!

Well, I don't. If it hadn't been for Whirlpool, Maytag would've been worse off.
