I've noticed a distinct trend the past 6 months or so...the Radaranges are disappearing! Ocassionally a later model will pop up at a thrift store, but I don't see the chromies behind the shops anymore.
In the midst of this dry spell, I happened to drop by the local appliance scrapper and found two machines, a bit dirty, but not torn up or destroyed yet! So I popped the trunk and ran off with them...only to find a gift of a 3rd machine waiting at home. Of course, all 3 will require some electrical work.
Without further adieu, here' s the first machine all cleaned up (thanks Ben!)..The other two are still sitting in the garage.
It's an RR-8T, old-style chrome but with the later display and minimalist buttons. This is one the collection lacked:
