Where are the Radaranges?

I've noticed a distinct trend the past 6 months or so...the Radaranges are disappearing! Ocassionally a later model will pop up at a thrift store, but I don't see the chromies behind the shops anymore.

In the midst of this dry spell, I happened to drop by the local appliance scrapper and found two machines, a bit dirty, but not torn up or destroyed yet! So I popped the trunk and ran off with them...only to find a gift of a 3rd machine waiting at home. Of course, all 3 will require some electrical work.

Without further adieu, here' s the first machine all cleaned up (thanks Ben!)..The other two are still sitting in the garage.

It's an RR-8T, old-style chrome but with the later display and minimalist buttons. This is one the collection lacked:
409 on the Left, Grain Belt on the Right. -Cory

Methinks every collector in this club (and the observers of it as well) are snatching them up!

They're still some floating around here. I've passed on two 9T/A's recently but I already have them. I'd really like to find more of the prior mechanicals. Have to assume that they are even less common since mw's in general were still not widely bought items at that time. I'm still waiting to find an early Toshiba 500 like my first mw from 75/76. It was chromy, heavy, looked sort of like the Amana commercial models with the mechanical pushbuttons that 711 used but it had a window and a mechanical timer
