Hi gang! I've seen some of the photos of the laundry products from foreign countries. I wouldn't mind trying some of the detergent tablets, like the Ariel, Surf, or Fairy brands. How does one go about looking for a place where they can be bought? I know someone can help! Thanks!

When I ordered mine, the shipping was about as much as the detergents themselves. I ordered quite a bit (Daz 15 use powder, Daz 24 tablets, Persil Bio 24 Tablets, Bold 2n1 24 tablets, Ariel Colour 48 tablets, and one liter of Comfort Fabric Softener). I need to go home and look at my invoice (I am at the office), but IIRC the total came out to just over 52 British Pounds (including shipping), which came out to $90 US Dollars with the exchange rate for that day. Kind of expensive, but I'm having TONS of fun, and will be purchasing some more this evening.

They were sent regular parcel mail, and I received them in about a week.

English Detergents

I remember spending summers in Sussex and seeing the entire line of Fairy products:

Fairy Snow Detergent for laundry

Fairy Liquid for dishes

Fairy Soap for the bath

Treasure Trove!

We are here visiting the Cayman Islands. Since it is influenced by both the Brits and Americans, I quickly walked the detergent aisles. I am happy to report that I was able to purchase Persil colour tabs, Fairy Liquid (Persil liquid is also available), and Octogon bar detergent (just perfect for shredding). I will also check out a couple of the smaller stores for more interesting and obscure brands of foreign cleaning items!

There are so many websites that sell foreign detergents. If you are not deterred by outrageous shipping costs, go for it! However, some of my favourite places remain the ethnic supermarkets. We have a huge Chinatown in Houston, and the next time we visit, I will check out the Asian detergents, etc. For sure, Mexican detergents are available to us, but have never seen British detergents in Houston.

Good luck finding what you want. They are all great, terrific smelling, and fun to use!

Grand Cayman?

Venus between perusing det asiles and other holiday activities, be sure you take one of those excursions to just
before where the Ocean floor drops about two miles and feed them tame Stingrays some tasty chum! It's a blast.
