Why Stan You Darling!

It is nice to be missed! Thank you.

Have been dealing with yet another bad URI/flu for the past few weeks that just wouldn't go away. Therefore spent much time confined to bed trying to rest, that is when one was not sounding like La Dame aux camellias (take me to the window, cough, cough....). So much coughing that actually hurt the muscles along my left side, which was yet another cross to endure.

Launderess . . .

Hope you are feeling better soon, few things are more miserable than coughing to the point that your body hurts more than your throat! I think Dr. Frigilux has a great prescription, if that doesn't work after repeated attempts then it's time to call Dr. Bombay.

I Never Drink..... Wine

Alas that beverage especially the red variety is off one's list for the duration. My quack wants to try via a process of elimination to see what is causing bouts of late night gastric reflux and heartburn.

On a more serious note as one was taking ibuprofen to deal with fever and aches/pains caused by the flu drinking any alcoholic beverage was not on either. Mixing of the two can do some nasty things to one's body in particular the liver.

Thanks All To Pieces!

Must say however since one has been off red wine am sleeping a bit better. Well that is now that the flu/URI is slowly going away that is; no more waking up in the middle of the night doing a "Fred Sanford"; (clutching one's chest gasping in pain.. I'm coming to join you Elizabeth...." *LOL*

Mention of white wine always takes one back to the 1980's when dainty women (and some men) one knew would order "white wine spritzers". I mean really! *LOL* I'm all for ladylike behavior and all but sometimes persons need to man up and drink real booze sweetie-darling! *LOL*

Spring is gonna be here.... soon?

I'd like to know when? *LOL*

It has been pouring rain all day and the weather has been cold, dank and dreary. We still have the heat on in our building! Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 70's and sunny but we shall see.

One wonders if the constant fluctuation of temperatures is not what is making so many ill around here. One day or maybe two it is in the 70's and everyone is out running about in hoodies and light clothing, the next few days are cold (night time temps 50F) or <40F) with rain and damp.
