Just acquired a model 30 Gray Ghost. Will get pictures and post when the sun's out again. I would really like to know which gas engine was used on this model? It has the original Maytag electric motor but it also has the mounting holes for the gas engine. I would like to put the gas engine on it if possible. Also would like to know if anybody has a PDF or a place where I can buy a service manual for this washer. It is in very good original condition but I would like to tear it down. Check all the internals and regrease and oil everything

I had a 1930 Maytag Model 92 engine years ago. Its a one cylinder 2 cycle, spits and farts unless under a good load. And is a real mosquito killer due to a heavy gas/oil ratio. I would assume 1933 would use the same engine. There are different bases to these engines as well either short or long so make sure you get the right one. They're as common as manhole covers they made so many so you shouldnt have trouble finding a nice running one.

Thanks for your help. Found out the motor I have fits right within the serial number range. This is perfect. All I have to do is change to a shallow tank and should fit perfectly. Ordered up a rebuild kit from flywheel supply though, I want to make sure everything's solid and good to go. Thanks again, appreciate it.
