Dave, hang at the machine for a few mins until the warm wash fill is done, then press the Hot/Warm button for a warm rinse to follow.
Dave, that had gotten very common even by this time.

Yes I did that with my mom’s Maytag that was like that even switching it back to the Warm/Cold after the Warm Rinse did fill so I knew with the clothes being warm from that rinse knew they were washed in the warm and not mistakingly in Hot…
Remember the days of a certain “collecting” what had to finally be washed and did “them” that way…
