I stopped at Sears yesterday on my way to Coconut Island to get a tool kit and there sat a Whirlpool 24" wide front load washer. It was tagged $899. Then 50%off at $399. That was scratched out to $299. The salespeople saw me and said.bb they'd take $199. I had $400 in cash. I said I only had $100 .They took it!!! We picked.it up today. I have it, on Craigs List for $599.

This is the only WP 24" FL washer that has been available in the US for around 5 years now, these are built by WP in China, they are old school washers with a brush type motor, they work well but have had poor durability, we have sold well over a 100 of these over the last 5 years and a few have given us a fit of problems.
 
Yes that is correct.  This model is similar to the "old school "Magic Chef/ Philco of Italy " models from the mid eighties. I had a total of at least ten of them and only one with issues. It was a Zanussi I found at Luskins in the trash. It tumbled clockwise, stopped three seconds and soaked fifteen seconds. Then went clockwise again. That was the only one that was problematic.
