I went to Smith's and picked up a nice silver (fake stainless steel) Whirlpool Duet Steam washer and matching electric dryer. I stopped there to get a few of the LG top and front loaders he has no interest or time in I felt bad just taking them for free as is so I told Charlie I'd give him $50 for any of the LG,or Whirlpool front and top loaders (no agitator type).most of which come from Lowes and Home Depot and work. Just stupid owners who don't know shit from Shine Ola. Anyway, these are both in immaculate, brand new condition other then the soap marks on the washer glass window. The first run cycle was sanitize and Spray9. Even the boot had absolutely no mold or mildew. The washer has cycles I never had on Duets like an 18 minute Quick.Wash, up to TWO extra rinses,a fan to help keep the mildew down and /or actually dry a light load. Steam cycles, and a whopping 1400 RPM final spin. The matching electric dryer has a male pipe that Charlie assumed was for gas. It's for water. The dryer has steam press cycles and I will wire it tomorrow to test. So far, no fault . Everything works on the washer. It's the quietest Duet I ever owned. I need the owners manual. I may sell these. I almost forgot. Both the washer and dryer have the riser drawers. When we picked them up,we had to lay them on their sides. The bases had absolutely no rust or dust. Not even a cob web. Top of the line set. Probably retailed for over $3000.
I'll run them through a daily set of dirty laundry to see if there are any issues I need to address but, so far, everything works perfectly. However, in dryers,I really prefer gas. Faster, more even drying. I always have problems sending photos or videos here but, once they're in place, I'll try to send a few.
