As soon as I'll get back to my dad's home I'm going to take photos of the machine, now I'm in Bologna and he lives in Racale (that's around 800km...) so I'm sorry but you'll have to wait
I think he bought the machine in late 2004.
He only has the washer, the dryer ins't sold here in Italy. The only positive aspect is that the machine is double fill (a rare gem in Italy) and the heater is turned on whenever the temperature drops below the selected level (just as any other European washer).

OK. Here is the Duet Sport. Is this the HT version or the normal version?

Maytag apparently has a "new" version of the Epic washer. It is known simplay as the "Epic HE". Apparently, what is "New" about it is the Oxi/Prewash option which is probably the same as the Oxi dispenser on the Duet Steam. Here is a picture of the machine.

Maytag has also come out with thier own version of the Duet HT. It is known as the "EpicZ" I think the "Z" just means the washer is the "Most high-end Front-Loader" Because Z is the highest letter in the alphabet.

There is also a version of the Duet Steam under the Kenmore brand-name. It is called the HE3t Steam and the HE5t Steam. There is a new "Steam Treat" option on the washer which, I think steams laundry to remove wrinkles and remove odors. The button that activates this lights up the same Cool Blue color as today's electronic devices! It has the same Oxi dispenser as the Duet Steam. Here is a link to the washer on the Kenmore website.
