Hi all,
Firstly want to say I haven't been on in a while, though active over on Facebook,I tend to visit here, but not signed in just reading!
I want today to share with you all something which I posted about yesterday to Facebook - something new from Whirlpool for the EU market. Following Whirlpool's acquisition of the brand Indesit company.
The newest washing machines look great - badged as Whirlpool - though, clearly a Hotpoint / Indesit underneath. There are several model's from low to high end, all with "freshcare+" system, which is essentially a Hotpoint steam Hygiene, followed by an apparent blast of steam and air, and then an anti-crease for upto 6 hours after completion of the cycle.
Here is what I posted to Facebook:
Appearing to be from Indesit origin - the latest innovation from Whirlpool! Introducing "Whirlpool freshcare" - a steam treatment followed by upto 6 hours post care, keeps the laundry fresh and also hygienic, thanks to steam / air generation! (Interesting!!).
The TOL model features the popular new Hotpoint Ultima display!
This appears to be the first real hybrid between Whirlpool and Indesit, following Whirlpools acquisition of the brand a few years ago. It's promising to see that Whirlpool are mainting the Indesit brands existence with these models, available in a number of different lines!
From what I can see -
Hotpoint features:
Ultima display on top of line range
Bed & bath programme
Duvet programme (now max 40C not 30C - lets hope they up it to 60C evetually!)
Whites programme
"Smart tech models performance +\Speed+\normal settings" just branded as a new name!
3 level "anti-allergy rinsing" - just branded under intensive rinse
Reduced creases option
Fast wash 30'
Woolmark approval
Allergy uk approval
Hotpoint door glass shape
Indesit features:
Sportswear programme
Jeans programme
Indesit "style" drum - 62l volume 8KG/9KG, 52l volume 7KG models.
Innex style drawer
Rapid 59' (just branded as mix) from the "my time" models
Silk / curtain wash setting
Indesit brushless motor
Indesit Innex style basic display on basic Bottom of line machine. (no pics yet available)?
Whirlpool features:
Colours 15' programme
Whirlpool side walls
Whirlpool suspension
Whirlpool display and fascia font used
New features:
Freshcare "steam jet"?
Pre-wash integrated but only on 90C cotton.
Stylish door with integrated handle
Black drum paddles
New display type on Middle line and bottom of line range.
disappointments: (not so impressed they've missed these features, but you can get over it).
No shirts programme from the Hotpoint brand
No pre-wash other than at 90C (Whirlpools had the option to select on any programme/temp)
No 1600 spin models.
No Auto-clean.
As a guess, they'll launch at IFa 2017 - which Whirlpool is most likely to visit this year, after not being present last year?
