Whirlpool portable washer.

This is the earlier portable 24 inch wide washer it had the larger 8 pound capacity tub but the slower 545 RPM spin speed.

They were rugged little machines and they could also be installed permanently.

Isn't this the 27" wide machine? I remember ads on TV for the marvel of this machine's portability; two women were in an apartment kitchen marveling that they could have a portable washer in an apartment. We saw one of these one night behind the big appliance dealer in Laurel.
