Hi all my amazing friends on AW.org!! :-) I was looking on craigslist in Buffalo, N.Y. I found this whirlpool set. I am only interested in the washer. It looks rusty. I also wonder if it has lighted control at the bottom. It looks as if it does. I wonder what year it was made. It looks shabby for the price. I would offer $35.00. Opinions please :-) Thanks!! Paul.

I have a similar RCA washer that is from 1970. It does have that plastic panel under the controls but no light. My harvest gold 1972 Inglis set has the same panels and they are lighted. They stopped using these panels before the mid-seventies so it should be from around 1969-73.

I don't have Whirlpool manuals but my Canadian RCA manuals do list a similar-looking model (in the 1st picture). The second picture shows the model I have (WAA 745).

Both are from 1970.

I still say to grab it.....and hold on to it....if anything, you can always switch out the top to another base....

looks to have 5 temps, variable water levels, and most likely 3 to 5 cycles.....all the settings you would ever need...

maybe offer a price tag closer to 20.00.....
