I have a Kitchenaid A-9 Coffee Mill with a defective switch. I took it apart, realized that I could not use the replacement switch I bought, and now it is in pieces. Do any of you know of anyone who restores these small appliances? I have done an internet search, and the few who show up say they are not taking new projects. I hate to just throw it away.

George, can you take a picture of the pieces? IIRC, I replaced the switch on my later reproduction version of the A9. It's been years, but maybe seeing the parts would help. What's the problem with the new switch that can't be used?

Hey, Ralph,
Great to hear from you! The golden colored switch is the original, and the black, connected switch is the new one. The problem is the new one won't fit in the square cut out in the bottom plate. And my son and I have had a devil of a time keeping the springs and brushes in. Three times they have popped out! Let me know if you want other photos. I have also wondered what to do for the electric motor, since I have it out. Is there any cleaning/maintenance advised?

But now, I am thinking of getting it painted if I solve the switch issue.
George
