Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hi John, question for you. What GE model would you suggest to replace that Magic Chef from my last post? I think we're leaning towards on GE still based on your recommendations and postive reviews from online. Thanks!

Re:#19

Alex,
If its any help my GE range is a JB625DK8WW, I posted a photo of it in reply #3. I bought it in Jan. ‘22 and it’s really been an excellent stove. Not fancy, but it does have self cleaning oven and timed/delay oven operation. I’ve not been disappointed with it in any way and I use the stove top and oven daily.

Thanks Eddie!

I'll keep that one in mind:) If it comes in either black or stainless steel to match with the rest of the appliances in the kitchen, that'd be fantastic!

Alex,
You’re welcome! I checked the GE website and apparently GE no longer sells this particular model, but the closest match to it is the JB645DK which does come in both black or SS. The only difference from my JB625DK looks like the burner lay out on the JB645 which is two large burner in the front, with one of them being a dual element that can be used either as a 6” or 8” burner. My JB625 has the traditional burner layout of 6” burners on the left front and right rear and 8” burners on the left rear and right front.

Hope this helps

Eddie

its here

well the new one is here. i will say its pretty and feels more solid than the other one. this one actually came in its box and they uncrated it in the garage. everything is straight and finished nicely. everything works and ran the oven and its fine. you can actually touch the door or cooktop and it feels normal. funny mom is already wanting baked goods

It's official

We bought grandpa a new GE GRF600AVSS today. In addition, my dad is looking into getting the same one to replace our LG as well cause he never liked it. We'll see though.
