Looks like there might be a logo right above the spin tub lid ( it's just about center between the two right hand dials on the control panel).

Is the a Montgomery Ward Signature logo. I don't know who would have made it for them.

There was a very similar looking Kenmore badged one of these at our local Habitat Restore a few months back.. Sanyo was the first name that came to mind when I saw it.  I didn't spend more than a few secs looking at it  so as not to become too attached and bring it home as much as I wanted to.  The only difference iirc was the one I saw had a few key like pushbuttons for something,, It may be in one of my old catalogs.
