Ok - the bidding ended this morning for this matching pink GE Filter-Flo 1960 pair. The winner must surely be someone who knows about this group! Is the winner among us and will he/she fessup?

the same thing! I had been watching it. It was at $20.50 for the longest time but i knew it would come down to the wire. $500.00 is great for that set - I hope one of us got it! - Please say so and show more pics if it was....

just for the record:

I have 9(no exaggeration)saved searches for GE vintage machines on Ebay and I never saw this particular auction. Those of you who know me know that I would have burned bridges to bid on these had I seen them. Any ideas how this happened?

In any event, congratulations to the winner, hope you appreciate these as much as I do, and if you ever want to sell these I WANT THEM.

What a fantastic matched set in PINK. I saw a set like this years ago at the appliance graveyard in Phoenix. They sold that set for around $1,000 I heard. I am sure these will go to a great home. I have not been following ebay much lately. Launderess usually posts these finds so I guess they were really hidden.

Just proves the machines are still out there for us!

I just happened to do a random search on Friday night for "GE Washer" and these turned up with 11 hours to go. At that time there were 2 bids and the price was at $20.50. I have no idea how long they had been listed but was shocked to see that they were just up the road from Atlanta. I had full intentions of placing a bid, but as is usually the case - got distracted at the last minute and when I got back, it was all over. Oh well. They looked like a fabulous set! I hope whoever the winner was will share more information and photos with the rest of us.
