why do we clean ovens

Dirty ovens stink and attract vermin and bugs. Dirty ovens eventually catch on fire too. Also because cleanliness is next to godliness. That's why I clean mine.

WHY? WHY?!? Well for one thing, who wants an oven to smell of burning spills and splatters each time it is turned on, especially if you are baking something with a delightful, delicate flavor and aroma that should make the house smell good.

Just because it is one of those things that just makes us feel good inside when we are done!!!

Men tend to clean their oven for themselves; sense of satisfaction.

Women and (men with gossipy friends [Read: 'mos]) clean to avoid ridicule and gossip.

(Ducks and runs).

Problem is, if it is too clean the unevolved and other gossipers will say- "See what a BITCH/PRINCESS she is? She doesn't even cook!: HA

When I was a professional cleaner I got 2 out of 4 gas burners that were not working on this woman's stove running again just by a simple cleaning.

WOMEN: It's ok to break a nail with activities that involve soap (or chemicals) and water!
MEN: I promise, soap (or chemicals) and water on anything besides your body and car/truck won't cause anything to fall off of you, really!

I clean mine just in case someone opens the door to look inside, or it starts to smell. In the days before self-cleaning ovens, I wouldn't clean my oven until it had so much grunge on the sides that I could only bake one cupcake at a time.

Dirty ovens!!!

Hold moisture and acids, acids and moisture = RUST eventually, once that beautiful range has a hole in it...its just another old worn out range!

Not very often

I don't clean mine very often, but I put foil on the bottom of the oven. When I cook, I place foil casually on top to catch the splatters.

Constantly cleaning

All my ovens are manual clean and I clean them whenever I soil them using a spray bottle of dawn and water and good old elbow grease. I love my ovens and take a lot of pride in them.
