Hey Jimmy

Nice to see you too , Bud ! Here's the inside of my 1949 Maytag dutch oven where I have baked so many cakes .

Too Pleasant To Live Without

I agree with Jimmy, it is indeed good to have Bob back in the fray. I don't know anyone else that loves cake as much as me. All those classic appliances large and small, music to accompany it and easy on the eye to boot. Do I remember seeing vids of Philco with blades of water action on youtube? Good friends are missed and it always feels good to have everyone's feet under the "family" table.

what my dad meant by skivvys

If you were running around in your skivvys that meant you were around the house in your underwear. Does this mean you clean your oven with underwear ? Also you are so sweet Mixfinder you brought a tear to my eye.

As Erma Bombeck would say

"If God had intended us to clean ovens he would have given us 10 foot long arms with scrub brushes attached. "

"Self-Cleaning?" "Only cats are self cleaning."

contemptuous

What ? Where's your sense of humor ? I was able to guess what you meant the first time but I thought I would just make a funny story out of it. True story , too. So is your oven clean or isn't it ? That's Super !
